Dr CHARITY KPABEP AWARDS 2024, call for applications
Aimed at African Women working in RAC sector, U-3ARC’s competition “Dr CHARITY KPABEP AWARDS 2024” is in the starting blocks. All African Refrigeration Women Technicians can apply for this competition, organized by U-3ARC, in partnership with the NGO World Refrigeration Day.

Here we go for Dr CHARITY KPABEP AWARDS 2024. The initial date for submitting applications is April 15, 2024, while the deadline will be May 31, 2024 at midnight GMT. Through this distinction, U-3ARC promotes women in the RAC sector, but also intends to promote the technical knowledge of African women. Furthermore, it is an opportunity to pool and promote the skills acquired among African women, through teamwork, communication... In addition, this competition, at the initiative of U-3ARC, in collaboration with WRD, allows interconnection between women of the African continent and its Diaspora and the limitation of the language barrier.
This year, the theme of the competition will focus on practical handling with a clear explanation of three actions, namely “Refrigerant Recovery”, “Evacuation”, and “Charging”.
But what does it consist of?
Dr CHARITY KPABEP AWARDS consists of a practical exercise, involving teams of three (03) participants from different countries, recorded in VIDEO form (MP4 or equivalent).
As indicated in the specifications below, participants must be from different countries, be registered with a National Association, specialized in the RAC sector and member of U-3ARC and registered in the U database. -3ARC. Each team must divide the work between them, in such a way that each woman presents one of the three aforementioned actions in the language of her choice.
Regarding the content of the video lasting between 9 and 15 minutes, the sound and image quality must be clear, the language used in French, English, Arabic, Spanish or Portuguese.
An envelope of €1,500

To decide between the candidates, the evaluation criteria take into account a correct and clear explanation, the procedure, harmony between the three participants, respect for the duration of the video and the use of several languages in the same video- an additional advantage.
The jury, made up of members of the U-3ARC Executive Board and the U-3ARC Trainers Committee, will announce the results during the celebration of World Refrigeration Day (WRD) by U-3ARC. In addition to an envelope of €1,500, given to the winning team, in Tunisia, during the U-3ARC General Assembly, in November 2024, the winners will receive a Certificate of Appreciation. The 03 winners of the recipient team will be fully supported (return plane tickets to Tunis, accommodation and catering during the stay).
